Charles VI Document

Manuscript DS in Italian and Spanish signed "Yo el Rey," three pages on two adjoining sheets, 9.25 x 13.5, July 22, 1730. An untranslated document to his viceroy on a complaint of riots from the University of Morcone. The reverse of the second page retains the original embossed wax and paper seal.

In good condition, with intersecting folds, mostly detached hinge, creasing to edges, scattered light toning and soiling, and show-through from writing on reverse.

Holy Roman Emperor who ruled from 1711 to 1741; father of the beloved empress Maria Theresa of Austria.
