LS signed “Henry Irving,” written in the hand of his secretary, Dracula author Bram Stoker, 5 x 8, Lyceum, March 2, 1897. The brief letter reads, in full: “Dear Madam, With the greatest pleasure and all good wishes. Faithfully yours, Henry Irving.” In fine condition.
Bram Stoker (8 November 1847 – 20 April 1912) was an author who during his lifetime was better known as the personal assistant of actor Sir Henry Irving and business manager of the West End's Lyceum Theatre, which Irving owned, he supplemented his income by writing a large number of sensational novels—his most famous being the vampire tale Dracula, published in 1897.
