McClelland, a longtime NASA Aerospace Engineer and Technical Assistant to the Apollo Program Manager, the display includes a flown Apollo 10 ‘Post-Flight’ mission insignia and a flown U.S. flag patch, both of which traveled aboard the mission to lunar orbit in May 1969.The Apollo 10 ‘Post Flight”Mision insigna was made by Gruman and where never offered publicly and have been found on other presentation pieces by Apollo 10 astronauts and are know to have been carried on their flight.

The centerpiece also showcases two commemorative covers, each boldly signed in ink by the complete Apollo 10 crew: Gene Cernan, John Young, and Thomas Stafford. One cover features the official Apollo 10 insignia in full color; the other displays the well-known Snoopy "Eyes on the Stars" cachet. Both are postmarked Cape Canaveral, May 18, 1969, the launch date of the mission.

Between the flown patches, a U.S. flag decal is included, with a printed note by McClelland explaining the significance of the items:

"This Apollo X patch and flag accompanied astronauts Thomas Stafford, John Young and Gene Cernan on their historical journey to the moon... The Apollo X mission patch was designed by Clark C. McClelland, Engineer, Kennedy Space Center."
