Domingo Vasquez Rare as President

President of Honduras (1846–1909) from August 1893 to February 1894, who lost power as a result of Honduras being defeated in a war with Nicaragua. Manuscript DS in Spanish, signed “D. Vasquez,” one page, 8.75 x 14, September 15, 1893. Untranslated official letter from President Vásquez to Ulises Heureaux, the president of the Dominican Republic. Signed at the conclusion by Vasquez. Two paper seals remain affixed to lower left portion. In fine condition. Vasquez remains quite scarce in presidentially signed items given the brief tenancy of his administration.
