Maxfield Parrish

Maxfield Parrish: Empty Hollywood Palladium matchbook, measuring 4.25 x 1.5 opened, signed in black ink by Parrish on the back cover. In very good condition, with rough right edge, scattered light toning and handling wear, and a punch hole to right edge. The ballroom opened on October 31, 1940 with a dance featuring Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra and band vocalist Frank Sinatra. It had six bars serving liquor and two more serving soft drinks and a $1 cover charge and a $3 charge for dinner.
