Uncommon signed book the Triumphant Democracy or Fifty Year’s March of the Republic, association copy inscribed to his Friend, Secretary and Collaborator James Howard Bridge. Bridge was a journalist, and personal secretary to Andrew Carnegie as well as a personal secretary for Herbert Spencer and even helped Henry Clay Frick as a secretary and friend throughout the years. Bridge wrote a best seller and one of the most important books on the partnership of Carnegie and Frick with his book The Inside History of the Carnegie Steel Company (1903); he also wrote Bridge's Millionaires and Grub Street (1931) contains an intimate, laudatory description of Frick as well as Carnegie. Rare to find signed photos of Carnegie and especially of this period. Quite uncommon.
