Rare receipt signed in the Oklahoma Territory by famous lawman Henry “Heck” Thomas, a Deputy US Marshall. Thomas is best known today for his pursuit of the “Wild Bunch” gang and for killing outlaw Bill Doolin. The receipt dated April 22, 1895, it is for furnishing a prisoner subsistence while under Thomas’ charge. Measures 19" x 14" overall. Heck Thomas is a Rare signature. Receipt is handsomely framed with a display featuring photos of Doolin and Thomas.
