Joe DiMaggio (November 25, 1914 – March 8, 1999), was a baseball center fielder who played his entire 13-year career in Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees. Born to Sicilian Italian immigrants in California, he is widely considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time and had a 56-game hitting streak (May 15 – July 16, 1941), a record that still stands.
"Dizzy" Dean (January 16, 1910 – July 17, 1974), was an American professional baseball pitcher. During his Major League Baseball (MLB) career, he played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and St. Louis Browns.
