Manuscript DS in Italian, signed “Il Duca di Fiorenza,” one page, 8.5 x 11.5, July 1557. Untranslated. In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), a few small holes, and significant staining affecting overall appearance but not the signature.
Duke of Florence from 1537 until his death in 1574, reigning as the first Grand Duke of Tuscany beginning in 1569.
