A collection of 4 period autographs of 3 important general's and Abraham Lincoln's personal secretary. David Hunter, Union general during the American Civil War and President of the military commission trying the conspirators involved with the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln (1802–1886). His personal 2 x 4 visiting card signed on back in black ink, “D. Hunter U.S. Army.”

Benjamin Franklin Butler (November 5, 1818 – January 11, 1893) was a major general of the Union Army, politician, lawyer and businessman from Massachusetts. Butler is best known as a political major general of the Union Army during the American Civil War, and for his leadership role in the impeachment of President Andrew Johnson.  Signed Free Franked cover as member of congress "B.F. Butler M.C." William Osborn Stoddard (Cortland County, 1835–1925) was an American author, inventor, and assistant secretary to Abraham Lincoln during his first term. Clipped closing of a letter 2x5, Signed "William O. Stoddard" Clinton Bowen Fisk (December 8, 1828 – July 9, 1890), Civil War Brigadier General and for whom Fisk University is named, was a senior officer during Reconstruction in the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands. He endowed Fisk University with $30,000. In addition, he helped establish the first free public schools in the South for white and African-American children. A signed page 2.5x5 signed Clinton B.
