A Samuel F. Smith signature and the first line of his most famous work "My Country, tis of thee S, F, Smith" on a 1 3/4" x 3 1/2 card. In fine condition.
Samuel Francis Smith was an American Baptist minister, journalist, and author. He is best known for having written the lyrics to "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" (sung to the tune of "God Save The Queen"), which he entitled "America".
