A rare ALS as president, written in black ink during the Obama Presidency signed "Dear Betty, Happy 100th Birthday, from one Punahou graduate to another! Barrack Obama" on a White House card. Obama attended the prestigious Hawaiian school from 5th grade until graduation. Punahou occupies a privileged position, not just on the hillside, but in Hawaiian society. In Obamas memoir, Dreams From My Father, Barack Obama recalled how his grandfather pulled strings to get him in.
