This is an interesting letter with a triangular postmark which is quite rare on US letters is for the British T "Temple office" not paid double circle the docketing on the back of the letter was dated April 6, 1769 from a Mr. Odell a missionary to the secretary of this society for propagation of the gospel. Carried by private ship by favor of "captain Trent" and put in the London Penny post Temple office on a Friday early in July to Post Office at Burlington was opened by 1772.With One Of A Kind Collectibles COA.
