This is a rare Document type signed by Andrew Jackson and his Secretary of the Treasury Robert B. Taney. In it he nominates John G. Mawney "by advice and consent of the Senate" to be surveyor and inspector of the revenue for the port of East Greenwich, in the State of Rhode Island, from the 29th day of January... The appointment was signed on March 7th, 1834. Document framed with two early engravings of Jackson and still has original seal on back of frame paper from the famous Autograph Dealer, Charles Hamilton , guaranteeing the authenticity.
