A Marilyn Monroe-Related First Issue of 'Playboy' Magazine, 1953. The famous 'Volume 1, Number 1' from December 1953 showing MM on the cover as well on pages 17 to 19 -- the issue that catapulted Hef into worldwide fame and notoriety which is still not subsiding, sixty years later. The copy shows some age toning, but is nice and flat with only minor edgewear. Interior pages are quite nice, off-white to white, and the Marilyn poster is in Very Fine/Near Mint condition. On the cover is good condition a slight indent in the white back ground in the middle left, original staples, small small staining on a few pages; back cover does have slight small tear in upper right otherwise, this would be grade a solid VG+. Condition: GD/VG. 11" x 8 1/2"
