Comedian, actor, author, composer and producer Kovacs (1919-1962, born Ernest Edward Kovacs in Trenton, New Jersey) pioneered the use of blackouts, trick photography and satire in television. The wise-cracking, cigar-smoking Kovacs starred in The Ernie Kovacs Show (1952-1953, 1955-1956) and The New Ernie Kovacs Show (1961-1962). Fine condition
