A signed and official photograph from the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center. He signs "Christopher C. Kraft Jr" on the 8" x 10" photograph. In fine condition. Christopher Columbus Kraft Jr. as an American aerospace engineer and NASA engineer and manager who was instrumental in establishing the agency's Mission Control operation. Following his graduation from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1944, Kraft was hired by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), the predecessor organization to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He worked for over a decade in aeronautical research before being asked in 1958 to join the Space Task Group, a small team entrusted with the responsibility of putting America's first man in space. Assigned to the flight operations division, Kraft became NASA's first flight director. He was on duty during such historic missions as America's first crewed spaceflight, first crewed orbital flight, and first spacewalk.
A TLS from "George M. Low" from the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center. It is 10 1/2" x 8" and in fine condition. George Michael Low was a NASA administrator and 14th President of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Low was one of the senior NASA officials who made numerous critical decisions in the Apollo program of crewed missions to the Moon.
A signed Hugh Dryden 3" x 5" card. It reads "Hugh L Dryden Deputy Administrator National Aeronautics and Space Administration". In fine condition. Hugh Latimer Dryden was an American aeronautical scientist and civil servant. He served as NASA Deputy Administrator from August 19, 1958, until his death.
