Sir Richard Owen KCB FRMS FRS (1804 - 1892) was an English biologist, comparative anatomist and paleontologist,is probably best remembered today for coining the word Dinosauria (meaning "Terrible Reptile" or "Fearfully Great Reptile"). Letter thanking a Mr. Rose for a hamper of food. Dated November 9, 1866. Letter if four panel, 4.5 x 7 inches.
