A remarkable autograph album featuring a collection of over 35 signatures, highlighted by the extremely rare autograph of President James A. Garfield, dated April 14, 1881—the same date, 26 years earlier, that President Lincoln was shot. The album also includes the signature of Garfield's Vice President, Chester A. Arthur, as well as signatures from many members of Garfield's cabinet, including several prominent generals such as William T. Sherman, Ambrose Burnside, John A. Logan, and Joseph E. Johnston. Additionally, you’ll find autographs from notable figures like P.T. Barnum, Confederate Vice President and Congressman Alexander H. Stephens, and other significant personalities of the period. The majority of the autographs date from 1881.
