Fine Original Revolutionary War Pike Head. Most likely American as it bears no signs of royal armorer hallmarks or stamps. Pikes such as this were a simple yet effective weapon of warfare, used both in defense and offensive tactics. The head of the piece having been fitted on a long wooden pole. Nice typical signs of construction, this being a straightforward design, typical of those used by the infantry. There is some pitting to the piece, slight oxidation, the very tip is bent.
