Homemade commemorative cover, with a block of three-cent stamps to top right, a clipped photo of Landis affixed to left and a 1936 cancellation stamp, signed in fountain pen. "Every good wish, Carole Landis." Double matted and framed with a small photo of Landis reclining, to an overall size of 11 x 15.25. In fine condition, with a light shade of toning.
Carole Landis (January 1, 1919 – July 5, 1948) was an American actress and singer. She worked as a contract player for Twentieth Century-Fox in the 1940s. Her breakout role was as the female lead in the 1940 film One Million B.C. from United Artists. Landis was known as "The Ping Girl" and "The Chest" because of her curvy figure.
