Program from America's Greatest Teen-Age Recording Stars tour, signed on the interior by Buddy Holly and ten other performers. Holly has signed the program atop his image on the the page featuring a photo of his band: Buddy Holly and the Crickets, Both Jerry Allison and Joe Mauldin also signed the image. Although the twenty-four page program is not dated, research indicates that Holly and Crickets performed on this tour from January 8th to January 27th in 1958. Also signed by early rock and roll stars, including; Buddy Holly, Everly Brothers (3 Times), Paul Anka and Margie Rayburn, The Rays, The Shepherd Sisters, Danny and the Juniors, The Hollywood Flames, Billy Brown , Jimmy Edwards, The Tune Weavers, Al Jones, Harold Cromer.
Buddy Holly's signature today is extremely rare due to his tragic and untimely death in 1959 at the age of twenty-two. Holly was at the top of the recording world at that time, having previously released a number of classic hits including "Peggy Sue" and "That'll Be The Day." After marrying in 1958, Holly eventually decided to leave the Crickets and pursue a solo career. It would be short lived. On February 3, 1959, Holly, Richie Valens and J. P. Richardson (aka The Big Bopper) all perished when their plane crashed during a snowstorm. The program (9 x 12 inches) displays moderate wear.
In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence JSA and One Of A Kind Collectibles.
