Two page letter from Burnside dated in June 26,1879 where he referring to a letter where a newspaper article was sent and says that he was protecting the interest and integrity of our country. Also comes with an engraving showing Burnside in uniform,Fine condition.
Ambrose Everett Burnside was an American soldier, railroad executive, inventor, industrialist, and politician from Rhode Island, serving as governor and a U.S. Senator. As a Union Army general in the American Civil War. His distinctive style of facial hair inspired what is now known to be sideburns, derived from his last name.
