Description: Created by Charles Correll and Freeman Gosden, "Amos 'n' Andy" was a popular radio and television program from the 1920s through the 1950s. Although some aspects of the sitcom are now seen as politically incorrect the program was groundbreaking in its efforts to portray African-American life in New York’s Harlem neighborhood without typical stereotypes.
