Thomas Jefferson and James Madison Signed Scallop-Top Ship's Pass, dated October 10, 1807, 10.5" x 15", Framed 35" x 26". Preceding the embargo act of December 22, 1807, provided safe passage for ship exchange of New York, Master and Commander Moses Miller's ship, crew, passengers, goods, and merchandise, signed by President Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State James Madison and countersigned by David Gelston, Collector. The frame has some minor chips but is in otherwise fine condition.
