Salmon P. Chase Signed Letter, July 24, 1862 (as Secretary of the Treasury - Lincoln), signed by Chase at the bottom with Secretary of the Treasury written under name. The letter is about Warehouse Bonds referring to all the related classes of bonds, 8" x 10". Fine condition, but does have some small holes to the left where this was probably contained in some type of book.

Salmon P. Chase (January 13, 1808 – May 7, 1873) was an American politician and jurist who served as the sixth chief justice of the United States. He also served as the 23rd governor of Ohio, represented Ohio in the United States Senate, and served as the 25th United States Secretary of the Treasury. Chase is therefore one of the few American politicians who have served in all three branches of the federal government, in addition to serving in the highest state-level office.
