ABRAHAM, Lincoln. Early Autograph Document Signed “Logan & Lincoln pltfs.", 8 x 7 1/2”, “Sangamon Circuit Court”, dated March 11, 1841, a plea in the case of James maxwell jr. vs. Allen& Stone(whom Lincoln defends). The parties agree that this case shall be dismissed at the defendants cost - March 11th 1841. Lincoln & Logan for pltfs." Lincoln had been admitted to practice law in the U.S. Circuit Court only two years earlier, and he would split with Logan in 1844, taking William Herndon as his junior partner. A fine example. CONDITION IMPORTANT: The previous owner laminated the document for its protection.
