Plaese note this is for a single  handrwitten letter

Rabindranath Tagore: (1861-1941) Indian Poet, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1913. Handwritten letter and signed letter on Hotel Algonquin stationary dated December 20, 1920, in refernce to an invitation from the Soror's club an that he will not be able to attend. The letter does have toning and missing  a couple of the corners,from previous mounting, but the writing and signature is bold and not affected. The letter is accompanied with a 3.5 x 5.5 copy photo (not signed). 

Rabindranath Tagore (7 May 1861 – 7 August 1941),and also known by his sobriquets Gurudev,[b] Kabiguru, and Biswakabi, was a polymath, poet, musician, and artist from the Indian subcontinent.He reshaped Bengali literature and music, as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Author of the "profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful verse" of Gitanjali,he became in 1913 the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Tagore's poetic songs were viewed as spiritual and mercurial; however, his "elegant prose and magical poetry" remain largely unknown outside Bengal.He is sometimes referred to as "the Bard of Benga
