Moritz Moszkowski musical quotation signed, 1892 Moritz, was a German-Jewish composer, pianist. Ignacy Paderewski said: "After Chopin, Moszkowski best understands how to write for the piano, and his writing embraces the whole gamut of piano technique." Although less known today, Moszkowski was well respected and popular during the late nineteenth century. MOSZKOWSKI MORITZ: (1854-1925) German- Composer and Pianist. A.M.Q.S., Maurice Moszkowsky, one page, oblong 8vo, n.p., n.d. Moszkowski has neatly penned a three bars musical quotation, which he identifies as a `Piano Scherzo, opus 62´, and marked the tempo as `Presto con leggierezza´. Signed in bold black ink beneath the musical quote.
