Partly-printed DS, one page, 14 x 14.5, December 8, 1848. A Hudson & Berkshire Rail-Road Co. bond, no. 151, issued to “release the prior lien of the State on the Hudson and Berkshire Railroad, and to authorize the Stockholders thereof to relay the same with a heavy T rail.” Boldly signed at the conclusion by Fillmore as comptroller and countersigned by two other officials. Thirty-two of the dividend coupons remain intact below. Expected document wear and multiple cancellation holes through Fillmore’s signature, otherwise fine condition.
