Free franked envelope front, slightly trimmed to 4' x 2 1/2", addressed in Millard Fillmore's hand to "Robt. C. Winthrop Boston" with Fillmore adding his franking signature in the upper right, "Free M. Fillmore, M. C." part of the top of free trimmed. In good condition.
Robert Charles Winthrop (May 12, 1809 – November 16, 1894) was an American lawyer and philanthropist and one time Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. He was a descendant of John Winthrop.
