Itinerary booklet for the Tour of Marshal Foch in the United States as a Guest of the American Legion, 1921. Leather bound 8vo with frontispiece photogravure of Foch and 21.5 x 20.5 in. fold-out map. Signed by Marshal Foch as well as fellow members of the tour including General de Sticker, Comte de Chambrun, Major de Mierry, Dr. Andrew, Captain de L'hopital, Lieutenant de Soubeyran, and eight others. Foch (1851-1929) and other French WWI heroes crisscrossed the country for 46 days on this tour arranged by the Pennsylvania Railroad. They were joined by General Pershing and other American and British officers at points along the way, where they were received by chapters of the American Legion across the country, and took part in military memorials and dedications such as the groundbreaking of the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City.
