Louis Pastuer ALS in response to an autograph request, dated March 31, 1886. The note is 3.25" x 4.5" and in fine condition. Also included is the original postage envelope that is about 4.25" x 5.5" Matted with an unsigned photo of Pasteur to an overall size of 12" x 15"

Louis Pasteur (27 December 1822 – 28 September 1895) was a French chemist and microbiologist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation, and pasteurization, the last of which was named after him. His chemistry research led to remarkable breakthroughs in the understanding of the causes and prevention of diseases, which laid down the foundations of hygiene, public health, and much of modern medicine. Pasteur's works are credited with saving millions of lives through the development of vaccines for rabies and anthrax.
