Rock and blues singer who incorporated Billie Holiday and Bessie Smith Died of heroine overdose in 1970. rare D.. 2pp 8vo., a get well card sent by her to her boyfriend Peter Deblanc while Janis was at home in Port Arthur Texas in 1965. The front of the card reads: I am sending you this card because it looked so sad and lonely sitting on the rack and I thought you would make it feel gay and happy and wanted "with the inside reading" like you did for me.." Joplin signed I LOVE YOU Janis",with original envelope in which she writes his name Peter...With Full letter from PSA.
