.Hand written letter dated January 18, 1861, on his stationary for the "Office of All the Year Round, a weekly journal conducted by Charles Dickens" ; 1 page in-8 (ca. 20 x 12 cm). Enveloppe non voyagée jointe, adressée à Edmund Fraser Esquire, 26 Craven Street, Strand, avec la signature de Dickens : " My Dear Sir, I return you the cheque signed, also I send you a letter from Mr Santley (?). The letters you mention shall be sent in London. If they, or any of them, should arrive during my absence, my son will open and forward them. When I wrote of advertising exactly as at present, I meant (and should have explained so) that I limited the advice to the address as in the subscriptions, I quite agree with you. My impression is that there is not much more to expect from the Public in the subscription way and when the Covent Garden concert is over I … (?) a new and closing kind of advertisement… ".
