Fascinating 7 8.5" x 11" page article written and signed around 1923c when Maxim was studying beetles. Maxim (February 3, 1853 – May 6, 1927), was a U.S. inventor and chemist who invented a variety of explosives, including smokeless gunpowder, Thomas Edison referred to him as "the most versatile man in America". He was the brother of Hiram Stevens Maxim, inventor of the Maxim gun and uncle of Hiram Percy Maxim, inventor of the Maxim Silencer.This article first talks as if it might be the Japanese invading the US and says what are response would be and then segways into the fact that it is actually non human, but the Japanese Beetle insects that are spreading through the US.
