An excellent signed 8.5? X 11? formal portrait by Arthur Conan Doyle. The author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930 was a Scottish physician and writer who is most noted for his fictional stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, which are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction. In this photo Doyle is shown in a half-length pose, and has signed boldly to the lower border in fountain pen ink, “Your affectionate friend, Arthur Conan Doyle, May -1914. In very fine condition. Extremely rare in this format.
