Gershwin's compositions spanned both popular and classical genres, and his most popular melodies are widely known. He passed away early due to a brain tumor and his signatures are rare and quite desirable. Concerto in F is a composition by George Gershwin for solo piano and orchestra which is closer in form to a traditional concerto than the earlier jazz-influenced Rhapsody in Blue. It was written in 1925 on a commission from the conductor and director Walter Damrosch. The Concerto in F shows considerable development in Gershwin's compositional technique namely because he orchestrated the entire work himself. Stravinski considered a work of genius. Henry Kimball Hadley (Somerville, Massachusetts, December 20, 1871 – New York, New York, September 6, 1937) was an American composer and conductor.Henry Hadley was one of the most performed and published American composers of his day. Howard Barlow was truly a radio pioneer. He was music director of CBS for its first sixteen years (1927-1943) Ernest Henry Schelling (26 July 1876 – 8 December 1939) was an American pianist, composer, and conductor. Born in Belvidere, New Jersey, Schelling was a child prodigy. (Rare Signature) Sophie Braslau (August 16, 1892 – December 22, 1935) was a contralto prominent in United States opera, starting with her debut in New York City's Metropolitan Opera in 1913 when she was just 21 years of age.
