Personal Reminiscences by Barham, Harness, and Hodder, 1875. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Very good in extensively-decorated light brown boards with gilt title to front board and to spine. Corners and edges have wear. The Interior is clean albeit some toning. 335 pages. E.B. Custer, Signed.
Kermit Roosevelt (October 10, 1889 – June 4, 1943) was an American businessman, soldier, explorer, and writer. A son of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States, Kermit graduated from Harvard College, served in both World Wars (with both the British and U.S. Armies), and explored two continents with his father. He fought a lifelong battle with depression and died by suicide while serving in the US Army in Alaska during World War II.
Elizabeth Bacon Custer (April 8, 1842 – April 4, 1933) was an American author and public speaker, and the wife of Brevet Major General George Armstrong Custer, United States Army. She spent most of their marriage in relative proximity to him despite his numerous military campaigns in the American Civil War and subsequent postings on the Great Plains as a commanding officer in the United States Cavalry.
