George Cruikshank. Two sketches, one pencil on paper, one watercolor and ink, both initialed lower left, 3 1/4" x 2 3/4", 4 1/4" x 3 1/2". One military pen and ink on paper, initialed J.M.R., dated 1835. 14 1/" x 9 1/2". All with tears and creases to edges and corners, foxing and discoloration, pen and ink horizontal crease through center.

George Cruikshank (27 September 1792 – 1 February 1878) was a British caricaturist and book illustrator, praised as the "modern Hogarth" during his life. His book illustrations for his friend Charles Dickens, and many other authors, reached an international audience.
