A rare large Edouard Manet autograph removed from the cover of one of his sketchbooks and an etching titled, Charles Baudelaire de Face. Signed "Manet" within the matrix l.r., inscribed "Peint et Gravé par Manet 1865" within the matrix l.l. and "Imp. A. Salmon" within the matrix l.r., Etching on fine paper, image size 3 1/2 x 3 in., matted. Condition: Good Edouard Manet (French, 1832-1883) was a French painter. He was one of the first 19th-century artists to paint modern life, and a pivotal figure in the transition from Realism to Impressionism.
