Engraving with text depicting a bustling Native American market. From Theodor de Bry (Netherlandish, 1528-1598), Thomas Hariot (British, ca. 1560-1621), and John White's (British, act. 1577-93) "Admiranda, narratio fida tamen de commodis et incolarum ritibus virginiae." This was the first volume of "Grands Voyages," first published in 1590. The text in German. Included is a facsimile copy with an English translation of the text. The sheet is 13" x 9" and 15.5" x 13" matted.

The sheet is toned. There are a few creases throughout. Some unevenness to the edges, especially the right edge, which has been trimmed. Spots of foxing or discoloration throughout. The work is hinged in two spots along the verso to a matboard backing. Housed between two mats. The work is not framed.
