This is a hardcover edition of Yeager: An Autobiography by General Chuck Yeager and Leo Janos, published by Bantam Books in July 1985. The book is a signed, limited edition, numbered 129 out of 1000 copies, featuring a personal inscription by Chuck Yeager that reads, "To Howard, Good Luck, Chuck Yeager." The autobiography provides a detailed first-person account of Yeager’s life and career, including his groundbreaking supersonic flight.
The dust jacket showcases a photograph of Yeager in his flight suit, and the spine is clean and legible. This rare, collectible book is an excellent addition for aviation history enthusiasts and fans of Chuck Yeager’s pioneering achievements.
Chuck Yeager (1923-2020). He was a retired brigadier general in the United States Air Force and record-setting test pilot. In 1947, he became the first pilot confirmed to have traveled faster than sound. He repeated that feat in 2012 on the 75th anniversary of his historic flight.
