BASEBALL HALL OF FAME. A collection of memorabilia relating to 11 Hall of Famers. Included are HANK AARON, 5 x 3 photo signed;; JAMES "COOL PAPA" BELL (1903-1991),2 very poor photocopies signed. One is 3 x 2.5 and simply signed Cool Papa" Bell. The other is 6.5" x 4.5" and signed James "Cool Papa" Bell. In the side margin, Bell has written, "This all I have as a picture." YOGI BERRA, a 5 x3 glossy signed on the front. On the reverse, he has written, "I suppose my greatest thrill was winning MVP the third time. But I don't really know. The pinch hit home-run in Brooklyn World Series was also exciting."; BOB FELLER (1918-2010), A 13 X 11 sepia photo printed signature "In appreciation" Sincerely Yours, Bob Feller 7/10/41. This was obtained for the consignor by Indians outfielder Clarence "Soup" Campbell. On the back of the photo, Campbell has written "Bobby, I have no picture of myself - sorry. Say hello to Winnie for me. Soup Campbell"; MONTE IRVIN, a 10 x 8 matte finish photo inscribed plus an interesting letter on Office of the Commissioner letterhead dated Feb. 19, 1971 concerning Negro League players and the Hall of Fame. In part, "The Selection Committee is reconsidering the one-at-a-time policy and probably two or three will be named for next year's honor. I personally feel that in time the plaques of all the Hall of Famers will be in the same building." With mailing envelope and copy of the letter to which he was responding; BOWIE K. KUHN (1928-2007), a letter dated Nov. 14, 1976 on the commissioner's letterhead concerning a talk he had given at the annual National Bible Week luncheon. With mailing envelope; WILLIE MAYS, signed handsome 11 x 8 color photo from a magazine; ERNIE BANKS(1931–2015), 10 x 8 glossy secretarial Signed/Stamped photo. STAN MUSIAL (1920-2013),9 x 7 photo cut by the consignor from a Baseball Magazine in the late 30s or very early 40s and signed then with "Best Wishes Always"; BABE RUTH (1895-1948), a deposit slip dated Aug. 6, 1943 in the name of Geo. H. Ruth 110 Riverside Dr. and showing the deposit of two checks. In the Chase National Bank. We do believe the signature is possibly a secretarial and do not guarantee it to be Ruth, although parts of the writing have many similarities to his writing. At any rate, it is a genuine document relating to the Bambino's personal business.; BROOKS ROBINSON,5 x 3 photo signed.
