Alexei Leonov Signed Limited Edition "First Walk" Lithograph, #627/950 with COA. A 20" x 16" litho print of Leonov's first-ever spacewalk during the Soviet Voskhod 2 mission, March 18, 1965. Signed in pencil at the lower right border. The original 1991-dated documentation from the issuing gallery is included. In fine condition.
Alexei Leonov (30 May 1934 – 11 October 2019) was a Soviet and Russian cosmonaut, Air Force major general, writer, and artist. On 18 March 1965, he became the first person to conduct a spacewalk, exiting the capsule during the Voskhod 2 mission for 12 minutes and 9 seconds. He was also selected to be the first Soviet person to land on the Moon although the project was cancelled.
