1925 Marc Chagall Etching titled 'The Visit By The Window'. This etching features a pencil signature on the back. The dimensions of the etching are 5.5" x 7.5", and it is in fine condition. It originally appeared in a book published in Paris in 1925. The etching bears a signature that appears to be Chagall's, accompanied by a note in French confirming its authenticity as an original etching. However, the signature may have been added at a later date, and its authenticity as Chagall's cannot be confirmed. Thus, it is offered for sale solely as an etching.
Marc Chagall (6 July 1887 – 28 March 1985) was a Russian-French artist. An early modernist, he was associated with the École de Paris as well as several major artistic styles and created works in a wide range of artistic formats, including painting, drawings, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramics, tapestries and fine art prints.
